Does NOT Smell Very Good & Can Made A Mess

First the scent was not a very good smell..

Was over powering when it sprayed. But the air freshener didnt fill a room or anything you only noticed it when you were close to it.

Also the can somehow wasnt lined up after about a week of usage and just sprayed the inside of the dispenser and made a mess and leaked in where the batteries are.

Not that fragrant.

I picked up two of these at a local store. I placed them in the living room and the bedroom. Try as I did I could not detect a noticeable odor from these diffusers in either room. I walked right up to the bottles on several occasions and sniffed the bottles just to be sure I wasn't crazy. There is fragrance in and around the bottle but to say it fragrances the whole room is a bit of stretch. The bottles are empty now and I'm just going to refill them with another brand reed diffuser oil. I gave it two stars because the glass bottles are nice. Great concept poor execution.More detail ...

Subtle scent good for smaller rooms

I recently bought this three-pack of reed diffusers to use in our three bathrooms. The first day after I set them up we could not smell them at all so I just flipped the reed sticks around and they then let out a nice smell.



These emit a nice subtle scent and as such are good for smaller rooms and spaces. If you are looking to scent a larger room these might not be strong enough. We have a Febreze brand diffuser for instance that scents our entire upstairs and that one can be almost overpowering.



Another nice feature is that these diffusers are more green-friendly than the commercial brands.



If you find that the scent is too light then I'd recommend flipping the reed sticks every few days to let out more scent. That seems to do the trick.



UPDATE ON 7/30/09: We've been disappointed with these diffusers and won't be re-purchasing them. I originally gave these three stars but have downgraded my rating to one star. The scent just doesn't last unless you flip the reeds every day (and even then the smell is barely noticeable even in small rooms like our powder bathrooms) and the lavender one doesn't smell at all. I'll be looking for a different eco-friendly brand.

It just works. How cool is that?

I have a keen sense of smell and I hate it when my house smells like feet or worse. I have accumulated a whole shelf full of room deodorizers home fragrance sprays and the like. You spray them and they cover up the original offensive odor and then your house smells like jasmine or pine trees or some unnameable blue chemical soup for hours until you get sick of it. This stuff is more like an odor eraser. It does have a eucalyptus-y smell when you first spray it but it doesn't linger. And it takes the unpleasant thing with it when it dissipates. The same company also makes a gel that works in spaces where you don't want to spray something. I haven't tried their vacuum products.
